This photo of Skiddaw was taken in summer 2014 from from the roadside near Headend Quarry, Sandale. The colouring of the image has been manipulated to accentuate layering effect of the hills. In the foreground are the rolling hills that surround the village of Ireby, giving way to the increasingly rocky landscape of Skiddaw and beyond to Grisedale Pike
